Outreach and Operational Support

NIMSAT provided operational support to the Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center during the Gulf Oil Spill in 2010 and the Mississippi River Flood in 2011. NIMSAT will continue to provide information sharing, technology and GIS support, as well as, operational support in the future.

The NIMSAT Institute will provide support to the Louisiana Fuel Team by executing computational models developed by the Institute that close the gap between fuel supply and demand during mass evacuations.

The NIMSAT Institute is expected to provide operational support to the National Business Emergency Operations Center during a disaster in the state of Louisiana or Gulf region.
